Άλλο ένα blog στο Ελληνικό Internet γεννήθηκε πριν λίγες μέρες. Το όνομα αυτού Tutz και το περιεχόμενό του tutorial και tips για ότι μπορεί να βασανίσει τον απλό χρήστη υπολογιστή στις μέρες μας!

I’ve been messing lately a lot with DIY Powder‘s WordPress backend & theme. After apas.gr & DIY Powder, I’ve figured out some essential plugins that are a “must” for every fresh WordPress installation.

New look, new feel
Νέο theme στο blog. Όχι μόνο design αλλά και φιλοσοφίας γραψίματος. Πλέον, δεν θα είναι το “απρόσωπο” τεχνολογικό blog, που (ίσως) ήταν στο παρελθόν, αλλά αποκτάει έναν τόνο πιο “προσωπικού”. Δυστυχώς λόγω χρόνου δεν μπορώ να γράφω όσο συχνά θα ήθελα, εξού και η αλλαγή νοοτροπίας. Αλλαγή θεματολογίας πάντως δεν υπάρχει.
WordPress 3.0, τι θα δούμε
Αν και τελικά δεν μπόρεσε να έρθει στο Wordcamp ο Nikolay Bachiyski, μέλος της Automattic για να παρουσιάσει το WordPress 3.0, το έκανε αυτό για εμάς ο “δικός μας” Βασίλης στην δική του παρουσίαση. In brief τα καλά παιδιά της Automattic ετοιμάζουν ένα νέο και robust WordPress. Αλλαγές, re-builds from scratch, νέα events και άλλα, θα παρουσιαστούν έτοιμα Μάρτιο (σύμφωνα με το Roadplan) ή αρχές καλοκαιριού όπως λένε οι φήμες.
wpHost.gr, ο ελληνικός WordPress-dedicated hosting provider
Ο πρώτος dedicated WordPress hosting provider στην Ελλάδα είναι γεγονός πλέον και είναι ένα startup project του Βασίλη Κανονίδη και της CreativeG. Εάν είστε στον αέρα, ψάχνοντας έναν καλό hosting provider και γιατί όχι και ένα .gr domain μην διστάσετε να επικοινωνήσετε μαζί τους, γιατί τα data plans τους είναι άκρως ανταγωνιστικά και affordable.

Τις τελευταίες μέρες ήμουν σε αναζήτηση ενός καινούργιου theme για το blog μου. Κατά καιρούς έχω χρησιμοποιήσει αρκετά themes. Το πιο πρόσφατο ήταν το Minim από την πολύ ωραία συλλογή του Upstart Blogger. Ήμουν – και είμαι αρκετά ευχαριστημένος με αυτό. Απλά ήθελα έναν διαφορετικό τόνο στο blog – να το ζωντανέψω εμφανισιακά γιατί το Minim ναι μεν ήταν πάρα πολύ καλό στο backend (το καλύτερο .php file structure απ’ όλα τα themes που έχω δει) όπως και το design του, αλλά δεν έδινε έναν πιο προσωπικό τόνο στο blog κατά τη γνώμη μου.
