The “cloud” era in which all files will be on the net and accessible from everywhere is coming. On 11th September they just launched the service, after a long period of closed Beta testing and invites to join them. So what actually does Dropbox? It hosts your files (any file) on their Amazon’s servers and they are accessible from everywhere. They even make it to share between Linux, Mac and Windows fluently. Personally, I will for sure move lots of my files there. Specially music which can be accessible from everywhere then. So let’s see what files can we store outside Dropbox. Μόλις χθες έλεγα για την Ελληνική startup scene και πιο συγκεκριμένα για το Football 24/7.gr. Και να σήμερα που ξαναγράφω, για το WebSource.it. Το WebSource.it είναι ένα project του Γιώργου, του Ευθύμη και του Δημήτρη. Μπορούμε να το περιγράψουμε πολύ απλά με 4 λέξεις: “google search query comparison”. Δηλαδή συγκρίνουμε πόσα αποτελέσματα έχουν δύο search queries στο google. Π.χ., το “lucky” έχει 23.800.000 έναντι του “good” 213.000.000. Επιπλέον, το WebSource.it σήμερα έγινε και mashabled. Greek Startup Scene: Football247.gr
Η Ελληνική startup scene δεν έχει να προσφέρει startups όπως αυτή της Sillicon Valley. Βέβαια αρκετά αξιόλογα startups εμφανίζονται κατά καιρούς στην Ελληνική πραγματικότητα. Ένα από αυτά είναι και το Football247.gr, του Βασίλη και του Γιάννη (τα παιδιά που φτιάξαν το myfeed.gr) και είναι πολλά υποσχόμενο. Το Football247.gr είναι ένας αθλητικός aggregator που φτιάχνει ένα mashup με τα RSS διάφορων ελληνικών αθλητικών/ποδοσφαιρικών site μόνο όμως για ομάδες της Super League. Δηλαδή συγκεντρώνει για κάθε ομάδα τις ειδήσεις από τα μεγάλα αθλητικά sites, σχετικά post από blogs, φωτογραφίες από το Flickr και videos από το Youtube. (Δεν “κλέβει” ή “υιοθετεί” τα άρθρα άλλων website, παραμόνον παρουσιάζει τον τίτλο και τους πρώτους 120-150 χαρακτήρες από κάθε post ως μια μικρή περιγραφή). Ένα …
