I thought of this blog post while looking my traffic stats in Google Analytics and in WordPress’ blog stats. Actually I was looking in the “traffic sources” summary from Analytics. Το Σαββατοκύριακο που μας πέρασε χρειάστηκε να φτιάξω ένα website για το τμήμα μου στο σχολείο, στο οποίο θα βάζαμε τα καθήκοντα, διάφορα νέα, φωτογραφίες, το πρόγραμμα και γενικά σχετικά και μή με το σχολείο μας. Interesting. If you have a Google account; probably you have one already. GMail, Google Reader, GTalk and many, many others are your kind of Google passport. So to login in a Google service you had to login with username@gmail.com probably. But now you can change this and login with let’s say johndoe@doe.com. How? It’s very simple. Go to Google Accounts and then click on “Edit”. There at the end says something about “Add an additional e-mail address”. Just type here your e-mail address (assuming it is johndoe@doe.com) and then just wait for the confirmation e-mail, which means that you own this johndoe@doe.com e-mail and you are not phiser, spammer or something. How To: Make Ubuntu Desktop & Panels look like Mac OSX
Όσοι χρησιμοποιείτε Ubuntu νομίζω θα σας αρέσει αυτό το post. Λοιπόν, όλοι λέμε ότι οι Mac έχουν το καλύτερο design και style. Γιατί να μην το φέρουμε αυτό το style και στο Ubuntu μας με μερικά “tweaks”, κρατώντας βέβαια το Gnome theme που χρησιμοποιούμε και χωρίς να χρησιμοποιήσουμε διάφορα άλλα προγράμματα ή extra themes. Πρώτα απ’ όλα ξέρουμε ότι τα Ubuntu χρησιμοποιούν δύο panels (έναν πάνω και έναν κάτω). Ο πάνω λειτουργεί από default σαν quick launcher που βάζουμε προγραμμάτα αντί να τρέχουμε στα Applications και ο κάτω πάλι από default σαν window list, δηλαδή μας εμφανίζει τα ανοιχτά παράθυρα αλλά και τα υπόλοιπα desktops που έχουμε.
